From the era of the Homo habilis and “Natural Selection” to the creation of the first high speed cars, man has always strived to conquer a common goal; the highest motor development.
So how do we achieve that? Which factor plays a fundamental role in pursuing that goal? Of course, the answer is physical activity!
People sometimes believe that motor development and physical activity are two identical concepts. What we actually need to understand is that physical activity is the “vessel” and motor development is the “destination”.
But how can a person -from a young age- receive the right stimuli, in order to achieve motor development?

Take notes:
- Parents should be informed about the benefits of physical activity and introduce their kids to a daily routine, enriched with physical activities.
- Participation in sports, groups and team games from an earlyage.
- Reading books that promote the value of sports.
- Attendance at events, like the Olympic Games, which sharpen a child’s interest and curiosity.
- P. E hours should be more frequently integrated in the school program, so that children can connect the aspect of playing with that of sports.
What about the benefits?
As multifaceted the process of sports is, so are its advantages.
The “athletic man” evolves morally, mentally, socio-politically and physically every single day. So apart from “building” muscles, we constantly develop important human virtues, while enhancing our country’s cultural value at the same time.
It’s time to use all those advantages to our benefit!
Let’s jump on the vessel of physical activity. Development awaits!
